Job Responsibilities
As a Teachers for Vietnam teacher, you are expected to:

Teach assigned courses to Vietnamese university students. Typically, teachers will teach 15-20 hours per week and average course size is 30-45 students. Students vary in ability from first-year to fourth-year. Courses typically focus on improving pronunciation skills or listening/speaking competencies. In some cases, classes in American/English literature and/or cultures may be included.

Depending on the university, teachers might be asked to prepare their own syllabi and student assessments.

Create lesson plans according to the course syllabus and objectives.

Print and disseminate relevant course handouts .

Grade assignments and quizzes, as well as final exams.

Perform all assigned departmental responsibilities within their university, which may include: attending department meetings, holding office hours, participating in extracurricular activities such as an English speaking club.

Complete mid-year and end-of-year assessments for Teachers for Vietnam.
